Description

Designed for the most demanding applications, the AEA800F power supplies can deliver a peak power of 300% for a duration of 3000 milliseconds. Intended for applications requiring a high level of safety, the AEA800F series is certified according to the specifications of EN62477-1 (OVC III) for industrial applications, and is approved according to ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 and EN60601-1 3rd editing for medical applications. AEA800F power supplies are suitable for Body Floating (BF) applications and comply with 2MOPP (IN/OUT) and 1MOPP (OUT/FG) safety requirements. The layout of the AEA800F power supply is optimized to ensure free air convection, which makes it an ideal solution for equipment operating in low noise environments.


Technical details

With ever-increasing levels of automation in industrial and medical applications, power supplies must be able to deliver extra power during peak operating periods resulting from dynamic loads, such as motor starting. To meet and maintain these conditions, the power supply must be designed to have a high level of dynamic control and a power stage capable of responding to repetitive peak loads. The AEA800F power supply can deliver 300% of its nominal power for up to 3000 milliseconds, with its natural convection cooling, representing exceptional performance and meeting the latest market requirements for industrial and medical equipment.

Industrial applications today require efficient power supplies, capable of working in different environments with a high level of safety. The AEA800F series of power supplies are certified to EN62477-1 Over Voltage Category Three (OVC III). Thus, it is possible to directly connect an end device powered by the product to a main distribution panel without having to add another level of insulation. These features help simplify the work of system designers, reduce costs and ensure maximum performance.

For medical applications, the isolation between input and output of the AEA800F power supply complies with the 2MOPP specification, between input and ground with the 1MOPP specification, and between output and ground with the 1MOPP specification, which makes it possible to incorporate the produced in Body Floating (BF) applications. Models in the range are certified to ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 and EN60601-1 3rd edition standards.

These power supplies have an isolation level of 4000 V AC between input and output, 2000 V AC between input and ground (FG) and 1500 V AC between output and ground (FG).

Designed for international applications, the AEA800F power supplies offer versatility with an input voltage range of 85 to 264 VAC. Three output voltages are available: 24 V, 36 V and 48 V with respective intensities of 34A, 22.7A and 17A. It is possible to adjust the output voltage using an integrated potentiometer.

To ensure low harmonic distortion, the AEA800F model uses an active power factor corrector (PFC) and the switching stage is based on an LLC resonance topology thanks to the latest generation power semiconductors, which which gives the power supply a nominal efficiency of up to 95%.

For extra power, up to 6 AEA800F power supply units can be connected in parallel. In parallel configuration, it is possible to adjust the output voltage of the 'main' unit to perfectly and automatically adjust the output voltage of the 'secondary' units to an equal value.

Optimized with convection cooling, the AEA800F power supplies operate in an ambient temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees Celsius. Depending on the assembly method of the final equipment and the ventilation applied, a power reduction is possible, according to the technical documentation.

The model includes built-in protection features: inrush current limiting, overcurrent and overvoltage protection, and thermal protection.

Thanks to its boxless format, the AEA800F power supply measures 50 x 127 x 203.2 mm (1.97 x 5 x 8 inches) and weighs 1.4 kg maximum.

The AEA800F power supply complies with the following safety requirements: UL (USA), C-UL (Canada), DEMKO (Denmark) and TUV (Germany). The product benefits from UL62368-1, EN62368-1, EN62477-1 (OVC III) certifications.

To meet the specific requirements of some applications, a number of options are offered, including: Cover (C), Additional cover (N), Screw positioned vertically on a terminal block (T), Terminal block modified into a connector (J) , Extended Features: Extended Outputs (AUX1 12V1A), (AUX2 5V1A), Remote Enable/Disable and Alarm (R3), UL508 Certification (T5), Overcurrent Protection Mode Switch Between Auto Resume and Shutdown ( P5).
