New automatic gas dilution system allows reliable dilution of gases down to parts per trillion

LDetek has introduced an automatic version of its gas dilution system, which makes the production of gas mixtures down to ppt levels both feasible and cost effective.

Accurate gas mixtures are essential for calibrating high precision gas analyzers and chromatographs such as those used in the electronics and semiconductor industries. The LDGDSA gives operators the ability to produce these gas mixtures on demand, saving both time and cost for calibrations and routine maintenance.

LDetek's LDGDSA Automatic Gas Dilution System is controlled via LDetek's LDChroma interface software. To achieve the desired gas mixture, operators simply enter the desired value and the dilution system automatically adjusts the flow and dilution ranges to achieve it. The software allows full automation, and the operator can control the process remotely. The LGDSA also integrates seamlessly with their MulitDetek2 Gas Chromatograph to make use and operation even easier.

The new dilution system features an air-closed diaphragm valve that isolates the gas when the device is in standby. This not only reduces gas wastage but also increases the speed of start-up purging, meaning the device is ready for use quickly. Gas mixtures with parts per trillion components are easily achieved with bypass pressure controllers.

The LGDSA also features high dynamic flow and dilution ranges, capable of powering more than one instrument, allowing full utilization of the gas dilution system in multiple applications. An optional integrated diaphragm selector valve for two streams allows two range inputs and two zero inputs. The different gas types and flow charts are easily managed in the LDChroma interface. This allows the LGDSA to operate efficiently as two units in one, which not only saves on capital investment but also reduces the number of operations required.
