59 – Dickson-Constant, the fabric manufacturer invests more and faster

The northern company Dickson-Constant has just completed an ambitious extension project on its industrial site in Hordain (North). Indeed, the technical textile manufacturer, world reference for indoor and outdoor fabrics has decided to invest in one go for its new production site, whereas initially this investment was to take place in two phases. The company initially announced 40 million euros of investment, which would have been followed by 30 in the three to five years that followed. But finally, in front of the strong demand, the industrialist invested 70 million euros immediately, installing 80 looms from the outset. Hiring has also increased faster than expected. The company had planned 75 recruitments in three years, but the very young factory already employs 130 people and will hire another twenty by the end of the year. This brings the total workforce of Dickson-Constant to 600 employees with the Wasquehal site.
