A new Thermomix factory in the Centre region

On the occasion of the Choose France summit, the German group Vorwerk announced that it wanted to invest 57 million euros in Donnemain-Saint-Mamès (Eure et Loire). The industrialist wishes to create a second factory of nearly 13 ha, intended for the production of its famous food processor Thermomix which will lead to the creation of seventy-four jobs. “Parts that we are currently making in Germany can be produced here. Then, we need to increase our production capacities and create new chains. We have four chains in Cloyes which make it possible to produce 80 to 85% of our total Thermomix production. We have a site in Germany, another in China. Through this project, we want to expand and deepen our industrial footprint,” explains Michael Homuth, production manager at Vorwerk-Semco. "Furthermore, the favorable conditions for the industry in France have convinced us to open a second Thermomix factory in the Centre-Val de Loire", he concluded.
