25 – Stellantis announces a new painting unit in Sochaux for 2025

Stellantis management has just announced the creation of a new paint unit on the Sochaux site.

This will be located in a single building near the fitting and assembly, and should be operational by 2025 and represents an investment of more than 100 million euros.

An investment that should make it possible to deploy high-performance technologies capable of substantially reducing CO2 emissions.

This new unit should also enable nearly 30% energy savings.

Painting is one of the most energy-intensive processes in a factory, so putting in place a new building that will be much more energy efficient, which will emit less CO2 should help the company achieve these carbon neutral targets by 2038. .
