22 – Laïta invests €20 million and hires workers to produce Madame Loïk cheese in Créhen

Madame Loïk whipped cheese, sold by Paysan Breton, is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

To support the growth of the Créhen site in the Côtes d'Armor, the Laïta cooperative has announced an investment of €20 million to improve the industrial tool.

This plan, launched in 2020, provides for the construction of a new production line and the acquisition of new packaging machines, operational from 2025. About fifteen job creations are planned on the site where 145 employees are already working . Since its creation in 1997, the production of Madame Loïk has continued to grow.

In the year of its launch, the workshop produced 43 tonnes of whipped cheese, today the cooperative manufactures around 4,900 tonnes.
