PCS Compact Pressure Switch
The great advantage of mechanical pressure switches is that no supply voltage is required for the switching process. In production, the pressure switches are traceable using software ensuring quality at each stage and are therefore 100% tested.
The rugged aluminum alloy or 316 stainless steel switch housing can withstand the harsh and corrosive operating conditions of the process industry with working ranges up to 1000 bar. To adjust the setpoint, simply open the access cover plate.
Access to the terminal block for the electrical connection is protected by a screw-on cover, which is secured by a lock against unauthorized intervention.
The pressure switches are equipped with microswitches that allow direct switching of an electrical load of up to 15 A / 250 VAC.
Depending on the application, it is possible to choose the appropriate version for the contact version and the electrical connection; for example, hermetically sealed microswitches are suitable for corrosive ambient conditions and DPDT contact versions for two separate circuits.
By using a diaphragm element with a counter spring as the sensing element, the PCS pressure switch model is extremely robust and guarantees optimum operating characteristics. For safety applications, the pressure switch is optionally available in a SIL 2 or SIL 3 qualified version.
