The UNA 45 type float steam traps are designed to evacuate condensate from water vapor or compressed air. The UNA46 and UNA 46A float steam traps are designed to discharge steam condensate or other gases / gas mixtures. These steam traps fitted with a SIMPLEX and SIMPLEX-P control unit operate by regulating a level using a float and a rotating ball closing an orifice. They are ideal for condensates and cold distillates. The rotating ball of the SIMPLEX-P control unit is made of Perbunan ® rubber, which provides a soft seal on a metal seat.

Steam traps with DUPLEX control unit also ensure the degassing of steam installations. This type of control unit is particularly suitable for systems supplied with saturated steam. The DUPLEX control unit consists of a rotating ball controlled by an operated float and a thermostatic degassing device. The DUPLEX regulator capsule should not be exposed to superheated steam of more than 5K. Thanks to the option of an internal by-pass adjustable from the outside, it is possible to adjust a steam leak that bypasses the control unit: this device is very useful for purging equipment such as drying cylinders. Steam traps should only be used within allowable pressure and temperature limits, and only if chemical compatibility and corrosion of its components are considered.
