Reminder of the regulations

Tractor vehicle

Maximum GVW of the trailer = GVW of the vehicle minus GVW of the vehicle

Permit

The B license is only sufficient if the GVW (vehicle + trailer) is less than or equal to 3500 kg.

Registration

Any trailer with a GVW of more than 500 kg must have its own registration certificate, its own gray card and its own registration plate.

Assurance

The insurance of the towing vehicle is sufficient if the GVW of the trailer is less than 750 kg; beyond that, trailer insurance is compulsory.
