Space-saving housing units and ball bearings enable linear motor tasks to be performed in the tightest of spaces.

New from norelem, a series of particularly compact linear components, which are suitable for use in tight assembly spaces. Housing units, ball bearings and linear shaft supports are used, for example, in assembly and feeding machines, optical scanners or robots.

Linear housing units can perform linear movements and serve as transport carts. The compact models from norelem consist of an aluminum housing and a pre-assembled linear ball bearing with sealing on both sides. norelem also offers a tandem version, fitted with two pre-mounted linear ball bearings with angular misalignment compensation. The housing units each have a grease hole to re-grease the ball bearings when needed.

Compact linear ball bearings are available with or without angular misalignment compensation. The normal steel version with a plastic cage is sufficient for some applications. Models with angular misalignment compensation consist of a plastic housing, bearing steel bearing plates and steel balls. They are used when several linear ball bearings are mounted in a housing, and then help to counteract angular misalignment, compensate for tolerances and prevent tilting.
