Size 1 chain tensioner, stainless steel with arched profile
Ready-to-install chain tensioner for quiet, wear-free operation of roller chains conforming to ISO 606. Its robust stainless steel housing provides long service life, reliable operation and corrosion resistance.
Available with a single clamping force in two forms:
Model with reinforced spring force: 396 - 60 N.
Form A: Short case.
Form B: Long case.
For alternating directions of travel, we recommend the chain tensioner with long housing. These chain tensioners are only available with increased spring force.
Easy wear control thanks to the three-color wear indicator
green: ok
yellow: still ok
red: insufficient spring travel.
The chain tensioner must be readjusted. Chain replacement becomes necessary when the range of adjustment possibilities no longer allows sufficient adjustment.

Note:
Temperature range: -20°C to +60°C (briefly up to +80°C).
Assembly :
Ideally, it should be installed just behind the drive wheel to minimize the length of the return strand to be tensioned. To limit wear, several links must be in contact. The size 1 chain tensioner is delivered in the locked position. Only after installation are the mandrel springs released at the set screws. To do this, loosen the central screw of the three set screws by approximately four turns. The second and third springs are only released when necessary.
