The risks of woodworking professions

Dust generated during wood processing and treatment poses a significant risk to the safety and health of workers. Prolonged inhalation of this dust increases the risk of serious illnesses, including cancer, respiratory diseases, and skin reactions.

To protect operators, French regulations impose an Occupational Exposure Limit of 1mg/m3 over eight hours in the workplace.

Furthermore, woodworking also presents a risk related to combustible dust. Therefore, regular cleaning is necessary, using appropriate extraction systems, both connected to the machines and for cleaning the workshop.
