New at norelem: sealing plugs in steel or stainless steel
Manufacturers of hydraulic or pneumatic units are familiar with this: during the production of systems, auxiliary holes must sometimes be made to accommodate all the necessary pipes. However, these holes must then be sealed and ensure a perfect seal - even under the sometimes extreme pressure conditions in the units. Norelem, a specialist in parts and components, now offers highly reliable sealing plugs for this purpose.
For hydraulic or pneumatic units to function smoothly, they must be closed units without any pressure loss. However, during their production, it is often necessary to drill auxiliary holes to create all the necessary lines. Therefore, the perfect functioning of these systems also depends on the perfect pressure-tightness of these holes once sealed. To meet this requirement, norelem now offers a wide range of highly reliable sealing plugs.
Anchoring in the base material
norelem sealing plugs work according to the pressure-expansion principle, with a ball integrated into the expansion sleeve acting as an expansion element. The sealing plugs have a toothed sleeve that expands when the ball is pressed in. This expands the sleeve to seal the hole and anchors it in the base material. This creates a metallic seal that withstands permanent pressure of up to 448 bar without the need for additional sealing agents. However, the sealing plugs can also be removed again if necessary.
Sealing plugs are primarily used for holes in fluid technology, such as in automotive, industrial, aerospace, and machine tool applications, to prevent the leakage of liquids or gases. Sealing plugs are made of steel or stainless steel and are available in various sizes.
