Unilever to relocate toothpaste production to France by 2030

Unilever will invest €14 million by 2030 to transform its Compiègne-Le Meux (Oise) plant into a leading European site for toothpaste manufacturing, particularly for the Signal brand. This strategic plan includes the repatriation of 15 million tubes previously subcontracted to Eastern Europe and the discontinuation of hair care products. This recentralization aims to strengthen French industrial competitiveness while meeting consumer expectations for locally manufactured hygiene products. Automation, innovation, carbon footprint reduction, and local job creation are at the heart of the project. Unilever is thus asserting itself as a committed player in favor of industrial sovereignty and sustainability.
