Mecano ID invests €10 million to triple its production in the space sector

Toulouse-based industrialist Mecano ID, specializing in mechanical and thermal subsystems for the space sector, is investing €10 million in a new 10,000 m² factory, scheduled for 2027. This investment, the largest in 30 years, aims to mass-produce launcher fairings for New Space and double turnover (currently €8 million) by 2030. Recently led by Adrien Mir, the family business is financing this project with its own funds, via loans and a possible opening of capital. Committed to innovation with 10% of turnover dedicated to R&D, Mecano ID is also integrating an ambitious environmental approach, in particular via the Business Convention for the Climate. Its plan is based on eco-design, biodiversity, participatory governance and enhanced collaboration with the space ecosystem.
