ULTIMAKER S5: THE LARGE VOLUME TO COMPLETE THE RANGE

Ultimaker extends the possibilities of its 3D printers with the Ultimaker S5 which benefits from the largest volume in the range: 330 x 240 x 300mm. It is now possible to print large parts or increase its production capacity of simultaneous parts thanks to the large volume of the S5.
Ultimaker has revamped its usual machine design for the release of the Ultimaker S5. Everything is thought out for the large volume. The holding of the print head is improved thanks to the reinforcement of the axes, which allow better stability. The plate has also undergone modifications, with the addition of reinforcements which prevent vibrations during printing, and therefore defects in the final rendering. It is now possible to print on the entire bed. Without forgetting that the latter is completely stable thanks to the active self-leveling system.

In addition to having a large volume of 330 x 240 x 300mm, the Ultimaker S5 benefits from many features that make the printer ultra-efficient. The Ultimaker S5 is equipped with an intelligent and efficient double extrusion system, allowing you to print the most complex shapes. Ultimaker also gives you the freedom to print on a glass bed, for simple materials and industrial materials (ABS, PC, CPE+…). These materials, which are complex to print, will be easier to use on the Ultimaker S5 which benefits from glass front doors, which control the airflow.
One of the great novelties of this Ultimaker S5 is the presence of an end of filament detection system: when there is no more filament on the spool, the Ultimaker S5 automatically pauses, waiting for you can put in a new spool and resume printing.

ULTIMAKER S5 AND ITS SMART DUAL EXTRUSION

The Ultimaker S5 has an intelligent dual extrusion system.
The reason is simple: a mechanism allows the right nozzle to retract when the left nozzle is in operation. The result is flawless or smudge free. The double extrusion system allows you two-color or two-material 3D printing: either you make an object with a water-soluble support, or you combine the materials, if they are compatible.
The Ultimaker S5 and its dual extrusion system clearly allow you to push your limits!
