CLEANING YOUR FUSE 1 PRINTED PARTS

Thanks to Fuse Sift, you automatically release the powder cake containing your parts from the Build Chamber. Once this operation is completed, the block of powder is directed to the sieve, where the unsintered powder will be sucked up to leave only your parts. All that remains is to clean your parts using the tools supplied with the Fuse Sift, in a safe environment for the operator thanks to a negative pressure system. The powder is constantly sucked into the back of the Fuse Sift, which does not present a major risk. The Formlabs ecosystem is clean and secure.

RECOVER AND RECYCLE FORMLABS POWDER

Formlabs designed the Fuse Sift with a negative pressure system, making the work environment safe. The station benefits from constant suction, allowing unused powder to be collected in the sieve. The unsintered powder present on the surface of the parts is also recovered, in a cartridge of powder ready to be reused. An industrial vacuum cleaner plugged into Sift cleans the work environment.

REUSE POWDER ON FUSE 1

Formlabs nylon powders contain a turnover rate between 30% and 50%. Thanks to Fuse Sift, it is therefore possible to recover powder that has already been used but has not been sintered. Whether this evening the powder of the cake, that on the surface of the parts or present in the workspace. When the recycled powder and the new are mixed in the powder cartridge, Fuse Sift takes care of mixing them, thanks to an automated system. From then on, you can reuse the powder for further production on Fuse 1!
