ULTIMAKER 2+ CONNECT IMPROVEMENTS

The Ultimaker 2+ Connect is the evolution of the Ultimaker 2+. The design and the functionalities evolve. On the design side, it seems more refined and in line with Ultimaker's S range. A new touch screen is present and available on the front, and replaces the wheel screen of the previous version. The Ultimaker 2+ Connect also benefits from an improved heating plate, which is more rigid like the Ultimaker S3 or S5. In particular, this avoids printing defects on large Z-shaped parts. The filament drive is also improved with a redesigned feeder with latest generation components. Finally, the last major improvement concerns the manual calibration of the platform, which is simpler and more efficient.

THE ULTIMAKER ECOSYSTEM AT THE SERVICE OF 2+ CONNECT

The Ultimaker 2+ Connect is the new connected 3D printer from the Dutch manufacturer. As soon as you receive the machine, launch the initialization and connect your Ultimaker 2+ Connect to the local internet network. From then on, you connect your 3D printer to Cura, and thus benefit from the benefits of the Ultimaker ecosystem. Your Ultmaker 2+ Connect recognizes the spools of Ultimaker filament used, and sends the optimized parameters directly to Cura. And if you're not using manufacturer-developed filaments, you can access independent, optimized manufacturer profiles on the Cura Marketplace. Thus, you print in 3D clicks: the Ultimaker 2+ Connect is ready to use!

THE VERSATILE PRINTER WITH A WIDE RANGE OF MATERIALS

Supported by a semi-automated wire changing system, the Ultimaker 2+ Connect copes with all materials. Initially configured for the reception of 2.85mm spools, the screen on the front of the machine allows you to move on 3mm filaments. Equipped with a heating plate but also with a suitable extruder, the Ultimaker 2+ Connect with PLA, Tough PLA, ABS, PC, Nylon, PP, TPU and many other materials! Indeed, Ultimaker has set up a marketplace of optimized printing profiles for its machine: your favorite filaments may already have an optimized profile validated by Ultimaker.

CURA: THE INTUITIVE SOFTWARE

The Cura software has been developed to take full advantage of the performance of each Ultimaker 3D printer. Simple and supportive for novice users, Cura also offers many advanced parameter settings for advanced users. Layer accuracy, temperature, part fill, and support generation, Cura professionally prepares your 3D print!
