Tribofinishing corresponds to a set of mechanical-chemical processes, generally automated, aimed at operations such as deburring, polishing, shelving, surface smoothing, etc.

However, whether in the sectors of micro-mechanics, aeronautics, watchmaking or fine cutting, certain deburring or polishing operations posed serious technical problems when the abrasive media used polluted the surface of the parts with Aluminum oxide (Al2O3).

The presence of this element often generates quite significant problems for welding or galvanic deposition operations.

The only solution usually used consisted in decontaminating the surfaces by rather heavy chemical treatments.

ABC SwissTech has developed a range of media containing absolutely no Aluminum oxide.

Until now, it was only possible to find a few media characterized by a reduced Al2O3 composition.

ABC SwissTech's innovation is due to the design of these new media completely devoid of Al2O3 and presenting high-performance technical characteristics in terms of abrasion speed.
