Ethernet controller with advanced features

The new 750-885 Ethernet controller is a programmable automaton combining the possibilities of the 750-880 (SD card) and 750-882 (2 IP addresses) controllers. It is a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), based on a 32-bit processor with a preemptive multitasking system. It has a slot for SD/SDHC cards, supporting capacities of up to 32 GB. It makes it possible to increase file storage capacities, and update the PLC program without software, by simply restarting the controller. The controller has 2 MAC addresses and therefore 2 separate IP addresses (ideal for redundant communication, for example, with IPCs from the I/O-SYSTEM range or control or supervision software supporting redundant peripherals). They also make it possible to make the link between 2 IP sub-networks isolated from each other, playing the role of concentrator (eg: a “factory” network and an “automation” network).
