In the case of belt or chain drives, customized clamping devices allow the length to be compensated, thus ensuring economical, quiet and vibration-free operation. With the new norelem clamping elements, chain link sets, sprocket sets and tension pulleys matched to each other, manufacturers can design tailor-made clamping solutions.

At the base of each unit, there are the clamping elements associated with a tension pulley, pinion or tensioner roller, the clamping element forms a clamping device ready to install for chain or belt drives. All these components are now available from norelem in different sizes and versions.

Tension pulley: allows the tightening of roller chains. The ball bearings of this component are sealed on both sides and require no maintenance thanks to lifetime lubrication. The sprocket can be moved on the screw and thus be adapted to the chain line. For Duplex and Triplex models, tailor-made spacer sleeves ensure correct chain guidance.

Sprocket: also used for tightening roller chains. The symmetrical shape allows use from both sides, while the large radii ensure quiet operation. The pad is made of Vesconite®, a high quality plastic that requires no lubrication.

Tension pulleys: used to tighten flat and toothed belts on the outside face or the back of the belt. They are also equipped with maintenance-free ball bearings. The mounting of the tension pulleys can be carried out rigidly without any clamping element; these components can also be used as crown pulleys.
