The 400 Series offers increased ease of use and new features thanks to the new data processor, featuring a large backlit display for numeric or graphical display of results and an integrated high-speed thermal printer. The storage capacity now reaches 100 references and up to 2000 samples. New colorimetric units are available as well as indices to express whiteness and yellowness enhancing the use in various fields of applications. The “custom index” function offers the possibility to enter up to 6 specific formulas defined by the operator and based on XYZ, Yxy or CIELAB data. Also, the user interface adjusts to English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese. To enhance its flexibility, the measuring head is equipped with an LCD screen, function keys and the necessary power supply allowing a completely autonomous use or in direct connection with a PC in order to operate with the optional SpectraMagic NX software. .
