Deburring by magnetic centrifuge (tribofinishing)

Tribofinishing corresponds to a set of mechanical-chemical processes, generally automated, aimed at operations such as deburring, polishing, breaking of edges, surface smoothing, etc.

However, whether in the sectors of micro-mechanics, aeronautics, watchmaking or fine cutting, certain deburring or polishing operations remained very complex to perform, or even impossible, when the areas to be deburred were very inaccessible; in fact, the abrasive media essentially acts on the periphery of the parts to be deburred;

on the other hand, the effect is not very noticeable inside the part, for hollow parts or in holes or tappings.

ABC SwissTech has thus developed a new range of equipment particularly suited to these applications.

The principle of this equipment is to rotate the abrasive media using a magnetic plate. The parts are then in complex motion in a fluidized bed.

These media have been specially developed for their shape and composition (magnetism and abrasive power)
