Development of abrasive media adapted to very complex shaped parts, with very long life and very penetrating shape.

Tribofinishing corresponds to mechanized techniques for deburring or polishing parts.

This technology, although relatively old and traditional in appearance, regularly presents technical developments allowing productivity gains that are sometimes decisive for our industries.

During the polishing process, one of the great difficulties is to reach the very difficult to access areas.

Rather than carrying out this operation manually, and therefore quite expensive, we recommend the use of special shapes such as the Tristar which has the advantage of having angles of 45 degrees (instead of the usual 60 degrees of a triangle).

The disadvantage of media with these special shapes is usually their short lifespan; indeed, they wear out very quickly.

ABC SwissTech's Research and Development department has significantly reduced this disadvantage by using a long-life abrasive. We worked both on the binder ensuring the cohesion of the media and on the type of abrasive.

Thus this new medium combines both a very penetrating form without dulling too quickly due to its particular composition.
