For over 30 years, R+W Antriebselemente GmbH has been manufacturing couplings, torque limiters and shaft lines for the whole world from 0.05 Nm to 2000 kNm that could meet your needs. In addition to a wide range of products, we can also offer you special couplings totally adapted to your applications.

 

FOR MAXIMUM PRECISION AND DYNAMICS: ELASTOMER COUPLINGS FROM R+W

The main advantages of elastomeric couplings are: vibration absorption, pluggable, zero backlash and electrical insulation. They are used in the following areas: Control technology, machine tools, packaging machines, automation systems, printers, control and positioning equipment, general mechanical engineering, pumps and mixers or roller door motors: depending on their function, the areas of use of the elastomer coupling are as varied as your requirements.

Technical details

  • Structure :
    • Both halves of the clamping hub are removable in one direction
    • With split clamping hub and 2 ISO 4762 side screws per hub side each
    • From series 4500, with 4 side screws per hub side each
  • Temperature range: depending on the elastomer insert chosen.
  • Torsional stiffness: In order to optimize the drive unit, we offer different Shore hardnesses for the elastomer inserts.
  • Tolerance clearance: of the shaft-hub connection 0.01 - 0.05 mm
  • Material :
    • Coupling hubs: up to series 450 in high-strength aluminum, series 800 steel, from series 2500 in FGS 40
    • Elastomer insert: precisely manufactured plastic, extremely resistant to wear and temperatures
  • Rotation speeds: standard, see table. Please consult R+W Delivery for kinetics up to G = 2.5.
  • Technical characteristics: nominal torque: 4 - 25,000 Nm
