About flow drilling:
Flow drilling consists of drilling through friction and deformation of thin metallic materials by generating a discharge of material.
The collar thus generated makes it possible to increase by 3 to 5 times the number of threads engaged after tapping. This technique is used to make very resistant assemblies.
Advantages of flow drilling:
Low tapping cost
Highly resistant assemblies
High quality nets
No specific equipment
Low implementation cost
Without additional material (welded nut, insert)
Fewer production cycles
No chip production
