The SB 40 NC Plus is our highest level of development of the Plus Series and at the same time the most powerful machine with its maintenance-free three-phase motor with very high torque. This machine, available in R1 to R3 versions, can continuously drill diameters of up to 40 mm in unalloyed mild steel. You can choose between manual and automatic operation modes. In automatic mode, the CNC Z-axis can be individually programmed for different types of operations and applications. In manual mode, machine functions and settings, such as rotational speed, can be easily adjusted to a wide range of applications via the control panel. The built-in OLED display clearly shows you current settings and operating parameters such as RPM and drilling depth. At the push of a button, you can choose between drilling or tapping mode, which can then be programmed intuitively. You can switch from manual mode to automatic mode with a flick of the wrist. You can control and program the automatic mode via the lower additional panel. You then have the choice between a wide variety of operations and can easily enter the associated machining data via the touch screen. The infinitely variable and intelligently controlled Z-axis even allows automated tapping based on pitch. The drilling depth stop allows you to adjust and limit the drilling depth in a simple and ergonomic way. To do this, position the tool on the surface of the workpiece, set the zero point, select the drilling depth and then tighten the drilling depth stop. In this way, we have limited the stroke to the desired drilling depth. A wheel then allows you to precisely adjust the drilling depth. The robustly designed table can be adjusted in height simply and precisely using a rack drive. To guarantee optimal working safety, the drill is equipped with an electrically locked drill guard and a standard emergency stop button. In order to be able to complete a drilling operation safely, you can also activate a spindle stop function.
