The golden rules of good palletizing.

Here are some tips so that your palletizing is done in the best possible conditions and above all to avoid the risk of falls and breakages during transport or handling.

We therefore recommend that you choose pallets in good condition, with a sufficiently wide base so that no package protrudes and of course a pallet that can support the weight of your goods. The most common format of a pallet is 800 x 1200 mm, this type of pallet supports a weight between 600 or 900 kg.

#02 - Properly distribute your cardboard boxes
The first step to minimize the risk of incidents is to check that the weight of all the packages is well distributed over the entire surface of the pallet.
> Avoid putting all the boxes on one side
> Ensure that no package exceeds.

#03 - Stack your cardboard boxes stably
In logistics we use the term “stacking”. “Stacking” is the action of stacking packages.
To facilitate stacking and then handling of the pallet there are a few strict rules:
> Place the heaviest packages at the bottom and the lightest at the top
> The top of your palette must remain flat.

#04 - Protect the pallet correctly

> Place divider plates and anti-slip paper between the different levels of cardboard. This prevents boxes from slipping when lifting or transporting by pallet truck.
> Put angle irons on the corners of your pallet. Avoids bumps and scratches.
> Protect the top of the pallet with a pallet cover . This ensures its watertightness and guarantees that the top is flat.
> Wrap the entire pallet with stretch film . This reinforces its stability. There are several references of stretch films from transparent to opaque which guarantee the confidentiality of the goods.
> Circle your pallet: Use a plastic or metal strip, called strapping , all around your pallet.

#05 – Label your palette
It may be obvious but as a reminder: remember to remove the old labels! This avoids many misunderstandings, especially when receiving your goods.
