FMI Sycrilor opens a new factory in Doubs

Renowned specialist in the manufacturing of high quality and high precision metal articles, subcontractor of major leather goods and ready-to-wear brands, FMI Sycrilor is launching the construction site of a new factory in Charquemont, where it will install the hundred Laquor employees. More than 300 jobs are expected in the long term at this 10,000 m2 factory. The Swiss group, whose headquarters is located in Noirmont, on the other side of the border, in the canton of Jura, is investing 12 million euros in this new industrial tool to follow its growth. Its clients come from luxury leather goods and ready-to-wear to which it supplies metal accessories, and growth is in an “exponential” direction. This geographical choice aims to promote local know-how while offering the prospect of 200 job creations over the next 5 years. Work will begin in 2024 with activity scheduled to start at the beginning of 2025, thanks in particular to the support of local stakeholders who welcomed this eco-responsible building project with enthusiasm.
